This doll is made with materials representative of the Goddess, Hekate. Hekate is the goddess of the crossroads & is often depicted with a torch & keys, as she lights the way & unlocks the realm of the dead. She is often represented in three form as the Maiden, Mother, & Crone, representing the three moons & cycles of life. As the veil begins to thin at Samhain & death & darkness become more abundant, Hekate leads us into the wild places, blood rites, decay & death, snakes & the moon during the month of November & then goes silent into February, along with the screeching owls who are messengers to Hecate & correlate with the wisdom of the Crone goddess head she adheres to during Samhain.
